Benefiting our Community
The Free Day of Yoga benefits our community at large and us as teachers in a
number of ways:
People who have never tried yoga can try it, for free.
Existing students can try new classes, teachers, and studios to broaden their
exposure.
Participants travel to Austin from all over Texas, expanding our yoga community.
It raises the visibility of our teachers and studios.
It gives teachers exposure to a large number of new students (some classes have as many as 100 participants!).
It gives teachers the opportunity to give back to our community.
It showcases the tremendous diversity of teaching styles, quality, and talent in
our city.
It builds community between and among teachers and students.
It's fun!
